Häufige Fragen
Muss ich Mikrofon und Kamera erlauben?
Nein.
Was ist gratis, was bringt die Vollversion?
Gratis sind:
- Kapitel 1 des Abenteuers (6 Level);
- die Wobblip-Parcours 1–3;
- in der Puste-Party Ballon-Mutprobe, Ruf-Runner und Schüttel-Sprint;
- in der WLAN-Arena das Beitreten als Gast;

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to allow microphone and camera?
No. Microphone and camera are optional and switched off at first. Everything also works by tapping, with buttons or a controller. You switch them on and off in Wobblip under Settings › Sensors. You manage the permission on your iPhone under Settings › Wobblip. Wobblip analyses sound and camera images on your device only and does not store or send them.
Wobblip doesn’t notice when I blow.
- Stay quiet for a moment after switching on the microphone. Wobblip first measures how loud the room is.
- Blow straight at the microphone from a few centimetres away. On an iPhone it sits on the bottom edge next to the charging port.
- Blow firmly once when Wobblip asks you to: in the Puff Party during the microphone test (“Now blow hard once!”), in the Wi-Fi Arena with “Learn my blow” in the lobby. Afterwards Wobblip recognises your blowing better. Only a few measurements are stored, never the sound.
- Cases or fingers can cover the microphone. If headphones with a microphone are connected, the device may use their microphone.
- Loud music or conversations in the background can interfere.
- If you denied access, use “Open app settings” under Settings › Sensors. On an iPhone you can also go to Settings › Wobblip › Microphone.
- Without the microphone, everything works by tapping: in the adventure under Settings › Sensors › Adventure “Tap”, in the Puff Party with the “Tap” controls.
The eye controls don’t react.
- Keep your face well lit in front of the front camera and look straight at the screen.
- Wobblip deliberately ignores a head that is turned far to the side.
- At the start, Wobblip briefly measures how wide your eyes are open. Keep them open.
- Backlight, reflections in glasses or a covered camera can interfere.
- The camera recognises no one and records nothing: it only measures whether your eyes are open or closed.
- Allow access under Settings › Wobblip › Camera.
- You can also play without the camera, with the “Eyes shut” button.
The Wi-Fi Arena doesn’t connect.
- All phones must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest networks often prevent devices from reaching each other.
- Your router must allow direct connections between devices. A setting such as “client isolation” or “AP isolation” must be switched off. Use a normal home network or switch the isolation off.
- Allow Wobblip to access the local network. If your iPhone asks whether Wobblip may find devices on your local network, tap “Allow”. This goes for the host too. You can change it later under Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network › Wobblip (or Settings › Wobblip › Local Network).
- Switch off any VPN while you play.
- Everyone needs the same version of Wobblip. If a phone is older, Wobblip says so when it joins. Update the app in the App Store.
- To join, type in the host’s IP address and six-digit room code or scan the host’s QR code with your camera. For the technically curious: Wobblip uses TCP port 47731 and local network addresses only.
The Wi-Fi Arena does not need the internet, but it does need a shared local network. There is no server; the phones connect directly.
What is free, and what does the full version add?
Free:
- chapter 1 of the adventure (6 levels);
- Wobblip Parcours 1–3;
- in the Puff Party: Balloon Dare, Shout Runner and Shake Sprint;
- in the Wi-Fi Arena: joining as a guest;
- the wardrobe.
The full version is a one-time in-app purchase. It unlocks every level, every party game and your own Wi-Fi arenas. There is no subscription, no advertising and no in-game currency.
Does everyone in the Wi-Fi Arena need the full version?
No. Only the person who opens an arena (the host) needs it. Joining is always free. Players without the full version show as “Guest” in the lobby. An arena has up to 4 seats; bots can fill empty seats.
How do I restore my purchase?
You only buy the full version once. It belongs to your Apple Account. To get it back on a new device or after reinstalling:
- Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account.
- In Wobblip, tap “Restore purchases” under Settings › Info & help. The button is in the full-version window too.
- Wobblip shows the result right in that row. “Welcome back! …” means everything is unlocked. “We couldn’t find a full version purchase …” means this account did not buy it.
If restoring doesn’t work, check your internet connection and try again. You don’t need an account with us. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
With Family Sharing, the members of your family can use the full version too – they tap “Restore purchases” on their device.
My progress – where is it, and how do I delete it?
- Progress and settings stay on your device only. Wobblip has no account and no cloud, and we have no access to them.
- Under Settings › Game › Progress, “Reset progress” resets levels, stars and accessories. Deleting the app removes all of its data.
- A device backup (iCloud or computer) may include your progress, as with other apps.
- The full version stays with your Apple Account and can be restored any time (see above).
More in the privacy policy.
Are there ads, a subscription or an account?
No. Wobblip is free to download. You unlock the full version with a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no advertising and no account.
